Keter’s husband and wife team, Dax & Lindsey, are Thermal Reconditioning specialists.

 

Thermal Reconditioning, also known as Japanese Hair Straightening, is an innovative hair straightening system that permanently transforms curly, wavy, frizzy, and/or unruly hair into soft, silky, smooth, straight hair that is more vibrant than ever.

 

Working as a team they have developed a flow – a routine which makes the thermal reconditioning process go much faster. For a process that would otherwise take all day, a client spends about a third less time in the chair as the two stylists each do half the head at the same time. And all the little time consuming things like washing combs and mixing solutions one is doing while the other continues working on the hair.

 

Lindsey & Dax have been a team for about 4 years. Both having several years prior experience doing and teaching. They have done thousands of Thermal Reconditionings.

 

For this team, it’s all about integrity. Reconditioning is a difficult thing to do, there’s a lot of time and money involved. They will only do the process if it’s going to come out looking amazing and the client will love it. They strand test the hair of every single client. It only takes about 20 minutes when you come in for a consultation — they take little snips from around the head (you won’t notice any hair missing) and weave it into long strands to do the test.

 

Dax & Lindsey like to educate the client. “Everybody wants to have ‘10’ hair. There’s no one thing that can get you to ‘10.’ It’s a number of 1s, 2s, 3s, that add up to ‘10’. We teach our clients about the 1-2-3s — hair structure, how to take care of it, how to blow dry, what products to use, and a number of other things often taken for granted.”
